Values, Mindset & Personal Accountability
Timothy Kitching is a speaker and high-performance coach who works with individuals and teams to bring out their best in work and life.
He does this with a very clear focus on values, mindset and personal accountability, and with a truly pragmatic approach to leadership development.
With more than 25 years’ experience in leading teams and businesses across Corporate Australia, Government and Law Enforcement, Tim brings a unique perspective to his areas of expertise, which include Executive and Organisational Coaching, Leadership and Management Development.
His passion for evidence-based decision making in an area that is often devoid of them, makes Tim’s approach to leadership development truly unique.
Tim blends deep experience and technical knowledge with a pragmatism that acknowledges commercial realities as well as the fact that processes have to be brought to life by people. He combines this with a range of Board and Board Committee experience, as both an executive member and as a non-executive director.
Fact-Based Decision Making
Fact and data based decision making is the single most neglected area of modern organisations.
Decisions are made all day, everyday and often with minimal data or incomplete data or facts to base these on.
Sometimes it is impossible to avoid making decisions without all of the facts and this is part of the skill of being a leader.
This situation is actually rarer than most people think and regularly has nothing to do with whether the facts are available or not but rather with emotional response, or ego, or simply the refusal to invest in finding out the facts.
Culture over Strategy for Organisational Excellence
Tim has a deep understanding of human behavioural psychology, backed by academic efforts (BA Legal Studies & Psychology) and his accreditation as an executive coach, along with his extensive practical experience in leading teams and businesses.
Tim is a firm believer that “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. As such, culture must be the number one driver for organisational excellence.
He is an expert in applying his commercial acumen in a complex and changing world, as well as an exceptional communicator and influencer who tackles issues and problems with a straight-forward style and a “call it how it is” philosophy.
As a result, Tim’s learning and coaching experiences provide an all-encompassing blend of theory and practice, leading to the development of effective teams that outperform.
